Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP)

Rosie's Recovery Center's Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP) helps children (ages 5 and up) and adults living with serious mental illness develop the skills, supports, and confidence needed to live independently and participate fully in community life. Our COMAR 10.63.03.06 compliant program is built around each person's individual goals — not a one-size-fits-all approach.

What Is a PRP?

A Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP) is a COMAR-regulated community-based service that provides structured skill-building, support, and rehabilitation for children (ages 5 and up) and adults with serious and persistent mental illness. PRP focuses on helping individuals achieve personal recovery goals in areas like independent living, community integration, employment readiness, and social functioning.

What Our PRP Provides

Independent Living Skills

Structured coaching in daily living tasks including budgeting, cooking, hygiene, household management, and self-care routines.

Community Integration

Support accessing community resources, transportation, social activities, and civic participation to reduce isolation and build connection.

Employment Readiness

Job-readiness coaching, resume building, interview preparation, and coordination with our Supported Employment program for those ready to work.

Social Skills Development

Group and individual sessions focused on communication, conflict resolution, relationship building, and navigating social situations.

Symptom Management

Psychoeducation and skill-building to help individuals recognize, manage, and cope with psychiatric symptoms in daily life.

Individualized Rehabilitation Plan

Every PRP participant receives a personalized plan developed collaboratively with their rehabilitation specialist, focused on their unique goals and strengths.
